k A laser beam with a frequency of 523 mega Hz generates electromagnetic oscillations of an energy of 10 keV as it propagates through a vacuum chamber. The beam has been carried along a trajectory at the speed of light in a linear path that ends at a point where the laser beam has disappeared into the space-time continuum itself. At this point, the energy of the laser light has been multiplied by its momentum: at 523 mega Hz, the current of the laser is just 9,520 joules, or 100 million times the electric current. The energy of this laser is about ten million times the electric current. However, since the rate of propagation is linearly proportional to the speed of light, the laser beam is now traveling faster than the speed of light...
